300m2 of turf

We have now moved on to a large turfing job in Failand approximately 300m2.

On Monday and Tuesday we used a mini digger to remove 18 tonnes of the existing turf and sub soil.  Wednesday we bought in 20 tonnes of ‘grade A’ top soil and levelled  it ready to lay the turf on Thursday.

Finally on Thursday and Friday we laid 480 rolls of freshly cut turf, mostly in the dry but also in heavy rain showers which wasn’t easy. We will go back on Monday to jet wash the patio and add 2 more tonnes of chard flint to the drive, then it’ll be time to move onto the next job.
